Neue Folge des „Geschmackslabor Gespräche“-Podcasts mit Mikrobiologin Brigitte Pertschy

Brigitte Pertschy (Institut für Molekulare Biowissenschaften) ist in der neuen Folge des „Geschmackslabor Gespräche“-Podcasts (alumni edition #1) bei Fritz Treiber zu Gast. Dort erzählt sie, warum sie die Behandlungsliege gegen das Labor getauscht und nicht Physiotherapeutin geworden ist, sondern Mikrobiologin. Sie erklärt, warum sie die Ribosomen, die „Proteinfabriken“ unseres Körpers, als Forschungsgebiet gewählt hat und warum unsere Zellen diese Ribosomen überhaupt brauchen. Und sie gibt Einblick in ihren Alltag als Wissenschaftlerin und verrät, warum es auch für den Publikationserfolg wichtig sein kann, gewisse Trends in der Forschung aufzugreifen.

Im „Geschmackslabor Gespräche“-Podcast interviewt Geschmackslabor-Leiter Fritz Treiber Expert:innen aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Uni Graz, die sich auf die eine oder andere Weise in ihrer Forschung sich mit den Themen Essen und Trinken beschäftigen. Von Bienen, Flechtentees bis zur „Jesus-Jause“ ist alles mit dabei. Dabei darf auch ein kurzer Blick in die Biographie der Gäste nicht fehlen – zum Beispiel wird angesprochen, wie und warum sie ihr Studium gewählt haben. In den „alumni editions“ kommen ausschließlich Absolvent:innen der Uni Graz zur Wort.
