Science meets Social Media: Launch of the “SCIENCE GOES SOCIAL” Training Series

On 5 November, the new training series “SCIENCE GOES SOCIAL: Your research in the new media” was launched for scientists at the University of Graz. Kathrin Hiller from KPTN Marketing opened the series with a practical workshop on the question of how research can be made visible on social media.

A group of students from our partner university in Hiroshima visited the University of Graz as part of a summer school. The programme included a cooking workshop on the Planetary Health Diet in our Taste Lab! With great enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment, the students tried out recipes that are not only delicious but also contribute to a more sustainable diet.

Popcorn and Science: Research Meets Film

Film evenings with added value: In the second week of Campus Cinema, it wasn’t just big-screen productions that provided entertainment, but also exciting insights into research. Three scientists offered background information on the films in short “fact checks”. The format was moderated by Fritz Treiber – supported by the 7th Faculty, which once again made science accessible to a wide audience.

Long Night of the Museums 2025

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the University Museums of the University of Graz – the UniGraz\@Museum and the Hans Gross Museum of Criminology – invite you to the Long Night of Museums. From 6:00 p.m. to midnight, visitors at both locations can look forward to exciting exhibitions, interactive guided tours, and a varied accompanying program.
